Chris Chope has welcomed the High Court decision to order a full hearing into Christchurch’s claim against the Government that abolishing Christchurch is unlawful.
Chris Chope commented “The decision by 17,676 residents of Christchurch (84% of those voting) to oppose the forced merger with Bournemouth and Poole should have been respected by the Government. I congratulate Christchurch Borough Council for continuing to defend local people and on their success in ensuring that this will now be fully investigated by the Court.”
