INFORMATION FOR THOSE SEEKING HELP WITH SHOPPING AND DELIVERIES OR WISHING TO VOLUNTEER TO HELP WITH SHOPPING AND DELIVERIES

BCP Council has opened a helpline which is available from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week. The number is 0300-123 7052. The team running the helpline comprise staff and volunteers who are available to ensure that the most vulnerable people in the community have access to vital food and household items. Those wishing to volunteer are also invited to telephone the same number. It is good news that already more than one thousand people locally have volunteered their services.
Residents in Ferndown, West Moors, St Leonards & St Ives and West Parley
Dorset Council has set up a Coronavirus helpline so that those who need help with their shopping or deliveries can have access to the volunteer workforce. The telephone number is 01303-269214. Those wishing to volunteer are requested to email [email protected] Dorset Council also has a more general Coronavirus helpline for other enquiries which is on 01305-221022 between 8am and 8pm.
There are also many other local community initiatives being carried out to assist those in need at this time.
