Chris joined representatives from aviation companies, to hear an inspiring talk by Simon Witts, founder of the UK’s Aviation Skills Partnership.
Their approach integrates into the current learning and development experience of young people, as early as Key Stage 2 (7-11 years old) at schools and colleges, increasing awareness and exposure to careers in aviation: for pilots, crew, engineers and technicians, air traffic control and airport operations.
The opportunities in all sectors of the industry are huge. Bournemouth’s prominent presence in aviation engineering makes this the perfect location for a new academy.
